Hey,
We woke up today at 8:30 in order to leave the hotel at 9:30-10:00, however many of us took a long time to get up so we eventually left the hotel at 11:10. Before we left we had cereal and orange juice for breakfast.
For the majority of the day, we split into two teams of seven, but one was instantly reduced to six when Domo had to stay in his room because of a strong migrane. One group went off to the Embassy to hand in the Embassy pack. The other group spent most of their time in the bus station opposite the hotel making phone calls to arrange accomedation and transport for the next week or so.
The two teams reunited at the KL Tower in the Golden Triangle area of the capital city. We had great trouble in ordering food at the highest telecom tower in the world as they almost didn't have anything we ordered from their menu. Funnily enough, it was all the cheap things they didn't have. We managed to haggle them price of the meal down though because of the problems we had and therefore managed to stay with our budget.
We then spent some time back at the hotel before the group headed off to explore the city a bit. We went to see the colonial area of the city, which was incredibly tranquil in comparison to the rest of the city. We also saw the worlds tallest flag pole, where Mr. Riley also managed to catch a gecko.
We then headed to the area called Little India, where they found a small food court. The food was excellent and even those that dislike Indian food found it tastey. Even more remarkable was the price. We were able to buy dinner plus two drinks for 11 people people for just over 11gbp.
We then had a pleasant walk back to the hostel, during which after been told to "wait right there" emma froze still in the middle of the busy road, just as the lights went green. Good one!
